  1. Musotima nitidals, a moth native to New Zealand and Australia, has managed to get established in the UK, the first record being in 2009. How this happened is a mystery as is the country of origin. Through gene sequencing of specimens in the UK, and comparing it with data from native populations, I hope to answer this question. The major problem is that, while there are lots of sequences from Australia (from Queensland south to Tasmania), there are none from New Zealand. Or are there? Please get in touch with me if you can provide some data or are keen to acquire some. Thank you!
